The U.S. has witnessed a surge in hate crimes in recent years; in New York City, over half of 2025’s reported incidents targeted the Jewish community, while rising Islamophobia has affected countless others.
To combat this, NYC is moving beyond social media feeds and bringing a more complete picture of the American story into the classroom.
