The Urban Assembly supports a group of 22 high-performing, small public schools - including nine Career & Technical Education (CTE) schools and three all-girls schools - that are serving over 9,000 students from low-income neighborhoods across the city. Our schools were created on the premise that small schools with compelling themes, strong partners, flexible hiring and innovative teaching practices can prepare every student for college and career success. Every Urban Assembly school is open to all students and is centered around a theme, brought to life through partnerships, that guides the school's curriculum and culture.
