School Overview:

The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women is an all-girls school dedicated to educating and advancing young women in the fields of math, science, and technology. Our college-preparatory curriculum ensures that students graduate with the skills and knowledge to one day enter into challenging and rewarding careers. UAI's college counselors also provide intensive support around the college application process, ensuring that our students get accepted into and finish college. Our network of partners also offers opportunities to explore math, science, and other career fields, connecting students with mentors that inspire our students to challenge self-perceptions and resist stereotypes about acceptable roles for women.


Programmatic Interest Area + Overview:

Science & Math: Rigorous course work in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Includes learning experiences with partner organizations, including local colleges and Facebook, which partners with all 9th grade classes to support with social media and product development.
