You’re cordially invited to join the Urban Assembly (UA) for our first ever UA-wide Career Week. On May 7 through 11, UA schools across New York City will be hosting career panels, sending students on corporate site visits, and offering real-world skills development opportunities and student competitions to provide exposure to careers and the workforce.
Our commitment to providing students with career exploration opportunities is not new. From the day the Bronx School for Law and Justice opened in 1997, UA schools have operated with themes designed to get students thinking about where their education is taking them. This year as we serve close to 10,000 students, 1,350 of whom are graduating seniors, we are making meaningful strides to promote a culture in our schools that upholds career readiness as an essential outcome of our work by linking academic performance and social-emotional learning to postsecondary success in both college and the workplace.
Tell us how you would you’d like to participate in this short survey. Have a cool idea for something not on our list? We are all ears! Tell us how you would you’d like to work together.
